EASY CHEESECAKE DIP FOR ALMOND JOY FANS
I absolutely love the combination of coconut and chocolate, so I am always coming up with new recipes that use both of them. I adapted a favorite Almond Joy Cheesecake recipe to come up with this mouthwatering dip. It has toasted almonds, coconut, and chocolate chips. All the flavors of the classic candy bar, but in snack form!
Not kidding, I was tempted to eat it by the spoonful. It is so good! My family enjoyed it so much that I’ve already made it twice. I love how the toasted almonds and coconut add a yummy crunch.
This tasty dip is ridiculously easy to make. Just beat together a few simple ingredients and within minutes you have a tasty snack that will be gobbled up! It would be perfect for just about any gathering, or just as an afternoon snack.
For best flavor, I recommend toasting the almonds and coconut. I put mine in a single layer in pie plates in a 400 degree oven. Just bake for a few minutes till they are lightly browned. The coconut takes about 5 minutes, the almonds take about 7. Make sure you stir often so they don’t burn!
The first time I made this for my family, we ate it with granny smith apples, and it was heavenly. I have also served it with vanilla wafers and graham crackers. My kids really love that! I can’t wait to make it when fresh strawberries are in season. Yum! Feel free to get creative and serve it with whatever you like.
I like using Neufchatel cream cheese for all of my fruit dip recipes. It’s a little softer than regular cream cheese, so it’s easier to dip. And it’s less fat, so that’s a bonus as well.
