St. Patrick’s Cupcake Toppers . . . Add these free shamrock printable tags to any treat!
St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner. To tell the truth, I don’t do too much decorating for St. Patty’s. The few things I did have were OLD and outdated. So I got rid of them and am starting from scratch this year. I’ve got at least a dozen ideas pinned. Guess how many things I’ve actually managed to make so far? A big fat ZERO.
Rachel is at the age of “unless you are focusing on me 100% and providing full time entertainment, I will be wreaking havoc in every area of the house that I can reach.” With all the home improvement projects going on around here, my craft time is almost non-existent.
However, if I put her in her highchair (with the strap as tight as it will go, or else she can climb out of it) and hand her a few crackers, I can actually manage to do some cooking. But only if I sing to her. It’s like a three ring circus around here, and I feel like I am all of the acts.
I actually designed these St. Patrick’s Day cupcake toppers weeks ago. But it’s taken me this long to actually get them printed and cut out. So of course I had to make some cupcakes to put them on. 🙂
It’s the first time I’ve ever made cupcake toppers, and I think they turned out pretty cute.
I used my St. Patrick’s Day Cupcake recipe. They have been a tradition since I was a little girl. They are so moist and yummy! But of course you can use any cupcake recipe you want.
To cutefy them, I just added a few sprinkles, cut out a cupcake wrapper from scrapbook paper and added the topper with a sucker stick.
If you would like to use the toppers, I have created a free printable. The lime green (on the first page) is my favorite, but I did three other colors as well. NOTE: I found that when I printed them, the actual colors didn’t match the colors on the screen at all! That yellowish one in the top corner is the same one on my cupcake. It looks yellow on screen, but in real life it’s lime green. To make it easier for you, the last page of the printable has a sample of all four colors. You can print out the test page to see which one you like before you print out a whole sheet of them.
