Navy and Coral Family Room – Love the look of this colorful family room? You can get the same look in your own house!
One of my very favorite things to do is visit model homes to get inspiration for decorating my own house. Looking in magazines is great, but there’s something about actually walking through a beautiful space that just makes me happy. So very happy. Anybody else share the same addiction?
There was a model home a few blocks from my house a couple years ago. I loved it so much that I visited it over and over again. It’s from Arive Homes, and I loved every single room. Today I’m sharing the navy and coral family room, as well as ideas for creating the look in your own space.
Even if you have a different floor plan or smaller space, you can still get this look in your home! Here’s how:
1- Paint colors: Start with a nice neutral grey. Sherwin Williams Agreeable Grey and Repose Grey are two of my favorite grey colors. If you don’t live near a Sherwin Williams store, you can always get the paint color matched at Home Depot or your local hardware store. I do it all the time!
2- Furniture: I love that the floral chairs add a fun pattern and punch of color, while the grey sofa keeps the space grounded. I found some pretty storage ottomans to replace the poufs, because I think more storage is always a bonus! And of course I am always a sucker for a wood coffee table with curvy legs.
3- Lighting: This gorgeous chandelier is a splurge, but I love it so much! A simple floor lamp is a great way to add warm and cozy lighting to any space. And of course you have to have a table lamp so you can curl up on the couch and read a book.
4- Texture: Nothing softens up a space like a comfy rug. I like this fluffy navy rug even better than the original. And of course you have to have pretty pillows.
5- Accessories: These are the most fun part for me. It’s the easiest way to add your own personal touch to a room. This mantle is simple with a few candlesticks and some faux coral. A mirrored tray with some candles, a simple ceramic elephant, and lovely flowers in vases finish off the space.

That home is so gorgeous! The slanted ceiling and big windows make it so bright – not to mention that kitchen! Definitely need to save up for that chandelier – or find one that’s a little more friendly on the wallet š

I’ve been trying to find a similar chandelier because I love it so much. I haven’t had much luck finding one that fits my budget, so I’ve been saving up too!

This isn’t actually my home (I wish I had those built-ins!), it’s a model home in my neighborhood. Glad you like it as much as I do! š
