Last December I taught the lesson in Young Womens on “How Can I Prepare To Establish a Christ-Centered Home?” I learned so much preparing this lesson, and read so many amazing talks!
I loved this quote by Richard G. Scott, because it is so true that no matter our upbringing, our environment, or our circumstances, we are ultimately in charge of our choices. I have friends who have come from horrific backgrounds, overcome hardships, and gone on to become some of the most amazing people I know. They did not let their past define their future.
I saw a similar handout with M&M’s and “make the most of general conference”. I loved it, and am pretty fond of M&M’s, so I adapted it to fit this lesson. I attached the tags to little bags of M&M’s, and it worked just perfectly! Since the lesson is in December, I used red and green M&M’s, but you certainly don’t have to. I had to make about 45 of these babies, so I filled a pretty big basket!
I love using cute handouts for my lessons. I hope it helps the girls remember what they learned and how they felt.
