Lime Sugar Scrub — four ingredients and five minutes is all you need to make this fabulous sugar scrub. It will leave your skin so soft!
Have you ever used sugar scrub before? I tried it for the first time a few weeks ago, and now I am hooked! During the winter months, my skin is always dry and itchy. Using sugar scrub in the shower every day has made a huge difference. I just love the way it makes my skin feel!
I made a batch of cucumber mint sugar scrub for my first batch, and I shared that recipe over at I Heart Naptime. This time around I used lime, because I just adore the scent of limes. So fresh and invigorating!
This stuff is so easy to make — you just stir together some coconut oil, sugar, lime zest, and essential oil. You can make a double batch and put one jar by the kitchen sink to use as a hand scrub, and the other jar in the bathroom to use as a daily shower scrub. No more flaky skin!
This lime sugar scrub makes a great last minute gift! You can literally put it together in about five minutes. And who doesn’t love a homemade gift? Just scoop it into a cute little mason jar, add the free printable tag and you’re good to go!

This scrub is amazing. I tried orange as well as lemon and lime. They all turned out great. Is there anything I could use instead of a zest? I don’t always have a lemon or lime in my house and I go through this stuff fast.

What kind/scent of essential oil would you recommend with this?
Monica
When making sugar scrub does it matter if I use coconut oil fractionated or not. Just melt it before and combine? What’s the difference in the scrub texture? Thanks.
Laura
I’m going to be giving this a try I love a great Sugar scrub!!

How many 8 oz mason jars does the recipe make? I need to make a large amount for a bridal shower.
Kara Cook
It makes about a cup, so one 8 oz jar packed pretty full. If you don’t pack it down, you could probably fill one and a half jars with one recipe.

Just curious, does the coconut oil not harden back?

What brand of lime essential oil did you use?…..
Kara
I used Young Living brand. I’ve also tried Doterra with good results. I would guess that any high quality, pure essential oil would work. š
