I love bread. I love cheese. I love bacon. So it was pretty much a given that I would adore this cheesy bacon pull apart bread. It is stinkin’ yummy people! How could it not be? It starts with frozen bread dough, so it’s really easy to make. You just have to remember to thaw the rolls. Then toss everything together and throw it in a Bundt pan. It doesn’t get much easier than that!
I served it with Corn Chowder, and it was a perfect combo. Great alongside the soup, or dipped in it. My family inhaled it. I hope you’ll give it a try!

45 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 pound bacon, cooked till crispy and crumbled
- 1 Tbsp canola oil
- 1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper
- 4 green onions, sliced
- 24 Rhodes rolls, thawed but still cold
- 6 Tbsp butter, melted
- 3/4 cup grated Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Saute green pepper and onions in oil in a medium sized skillet till tender.
- Cut Rhodes rolls in quarters and place in a large mixing bowl. Periodically stir in some of the melted butter so they don't stick together.
- Add remaining ingredients and the rest of the butter. Mix everything together till well combined. (I just used my hands.)
- Dump everything into a well greased Bundt pan. Let raise till doubled, about 30-60 minutes.
- Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate. Serve warm.

What is a “Rhodes Roll” ??? I’ve never heard of such a thing…
Kara
Rhodes rolls are frozen bread dough. I find them in the freezer section of my grocery store. Other brands of frozen dough will work too, I just prefer Rhodes.

Love your recipe but was thinking… How about grated cheddar, bacon, and roasted garlic. Think I will try both. Please keep posting.

Ya know, I’ve had some comment shortages recently too, but I’ve been a little stingy on giving the comments too. If it’s any consolation I search recipes on your site on a regular basis, and as I read about all your cool projects I imagine that someday I will have time and $ for decorating my house like you do. I know I’m your sister and all, but I think that still counts. š Ya know, I should probably just call… but I’m kinda boring on the phone. Know that I love you!
Kara
Thanks Mel, I love you too!

That looks yummy. I want to try it, but will wait (for kindness sake) until my husband is done with the South Beach diet.
Kara
You are a very nice wife Charlotte!

I love your blog, but don’t think I’ve ever commented. Your ideas are so cute, and the recipes are so yummy! Thanks for everything!

I am having company next weekend and this looks like it would be great to have on hand. So sorry about your lack of comments but it looks like today is much better š
Kara
Thanks Tammy! And yes, after my pity party everyone is showing me lots of comment love. š

I’m not a blogger, so I don’t usually comment, but your blog has become part of my morning ritual. After getting the kids and husband off to work, I sit down with my cup of coffee and catch up on all the blogs. You have provided me with a lot of inspiration! Thank you and keep up the great ideas! (Not sure why, but your blog is the only one that saved under my subscriptions as “title unknown.” Not sure if that is a problem on my end or not. I still know what it is, and look forward to reading it every day, but thought I would let you know)
Kara
I’m go glad to hear that Tricia. š
No idea why I show up as unknown. It could be a problem on my end, but I don’t even know how to start to figure it out. Dang.

Usual lurker (sorry, I love comments too and hate when no one leaves one.) This looks great. I’m gonna try it for my family.

I didn’t eat a single meal today (one of those days, never stopped) and now I’m starving to death! I knew I shouldn’t look at your blog knowing you’d have something TASTY to show off! Mmmmm!
See you Thursday! I’m so excited!
Christina
I will get better with commenting…I love your blog! Don’t doubt it for a minute!

I’m going to have to try this bread…when my husband isn’t around. He doesn’t like peppers.
Kara
You could leave out the peppers and I bet it would still be awesome. š

Keep up the good work. Just know that there are a lot of people getting inspiration from you, but we’re shy!! Bread looks delicious…I bet it would be easy to switch around some of the ingredients a make a completely different flavor. Thanks for the inspiration…even if we don’t tell you enough!

it’s a good thing i’m eating lunch now, b/c this looks deelish and is making me hungry!

I notice that sometimes, too…like suddenly I say things that no one needs to respond to. This looks fantastic. I made a garlic parmesan pull apart last year that was amazing…but so much bread and butter disappeared SO fast, I’ve been scared to make another batch!

Thanks for all of the hard work you put into this blog. I rarely comment, only because I am up and down on the computer during the day while “FLYing” and trying to potty train my 2 yr old and therefore I lose my place often..
We have a ladies’ neighborhood get together this week and I think I’m gonna try this recipe for that party.. Looks delicious!
Marlene
This bread looks amazing! I might have to try it today! I think for us I would change out the bell peppers for green chiles! Yum-O! I read your blog every time you post! True confessions, I’m not so good at the commenting thing. I will try and do better! š

A couple of months ago I came across your blog and have been hooked ever since, I never post comments due to the fact that I myself do not have a blog, although I LOVE reading them. Its a shame, I know lol. But after reading this last post I felt compelled to send you a comment and let you know that there are many people out there, like myself, that love your ideas…love your blog but keep to themselves. Keep up the GREAT work!! Love, love, love your ideas…
Abby
This looks great! My husband’s birthday is coming up soon and I know he will love this. Thanks for the recipe!
