We found out that we will not be going home in time for Easter. We were of course disappointed, but we know that our boys are in good hands with my parents. They’re probably going to get double the candy. 😉 It’s not very fun living out of a hotel room with a brand new baby, but we are making the most of it. We really are enjoying our time with her. She is so, so precious and such a good natured baby.
We didn’t think we should post pictures until all the paperwork was signed, but it is now official, this little princess is OURS! So without further ado, here are some pictures of our sweet little princess. I think you can see why we are so enamored with her! We just can’t wait to take her home to meet her brothers!

She’s absolutely stunning! Words cannot express how thrilled I am for you. We survived infertility and created a family too, against all odds. I have some idea of the difficulty of the road. New babies are always exciting but a new adoption is a miracle several times over. I’m so very, very excited for your family!

I must say – I feel very sad for the mother, though… It must be such a wound in a mother’s heart to say goodbye to a child… She must be very sad and wounded these days…
We had adoptionplans once, and got pregnant, totally unexpected! We have our lovely boy now and decided to count our blessings. I can’t start to think how it must be to decide that somebody else will be a better parent for your baby.
When I was expectant adoption mother, I thought about that way too easy -“ofcourse it is best to give up a baby for adoption”… Now I know how arrogant I was about it.
I wish all babies best parents, but I keep hoping that one day human kind will be at a point where all mothers are best mothers and are best supported to fullfill their roll.
Untill then: thank goodness for loving adoptionparents and be happy with your little wonderbaby!!
