This tangy homemade sweet and sour sauce is great for dipping chicken nuggets, wontons, and so much more!
Lunch is my least favorite meal of the day to prepare. Usually it’s just me and the four year old at home, and I don’t want to make a big mess just for the two of us. Making sandwiches every day gets pretty boring. Thankfully, I just discovered a tasty lunch option that is easy as pie– P.F. Chang’s Home Menu line. You can find them in the frozen section of the grocery store, and there are several tasty options to choose from. With just a few minutes of preparation, you can have lunch on the table!
My parents came down for a visit last week, and I served the Sesame Chicken and the Cream Cheese Wontons. It was so easy to make! For the Sesame Chicken, you just dump the contents of the bag into a hot skillet- sauce included, and cook and stir it for a few minutes. All of us loved the bold and slightly spicy flavor of the sauce. For best results, I definitely recommend cooking in the skillet instead of the microwave. After the chicken was cooked, I added some cashews to the top. They were a perfect addition and added such a yummy crunch!
I also served the Cream Cheese Wontons. All you do is pop them in the oven for a few minutes. I made some sweet and sour sauce to go with them, and it was a delicious pairing! The wontons are a little spicy, so the sweetness of the sauce balanced them out just perfectly!
We have also dipped homemade chicken nuggets in the sweet and sour sauce, and they were so tasty! You could even pour it over meatballs. It’s such a versatile recipe!

We snack a lot on frozen wontons, etc ., from Aldi’s.
