Strawberry Chocolate Chip Muffins– Everything you love about chocolate covered strawberries all wrapped up into a soft and fluffy muffin. A breakfast treat that is sure to bring a smile to any face!
Chocolate and strawberries are just so tasty together, aren’t they? Don’t miss my Strawberry Nutella Pizza, and Strawberry Crepes with Nutella. So yummy!
When strawberry season rolls around, I get a little crazy. Every year I buy cases of fresh strawberries, and we proceed to consume them like we will never see them again. We love these cute little berries! We eat bowls of fresh strawberries, mountains of fruit salads, and whip up smoothies every afternoon. And of course every year I come up with new recipes that feature our beloved strawberries.
This muffin recipe can be blamed on my kids. Or credited to them, whichever way you want to look at it. 😉
See, I was going to make some Strawberry Nutella Muffins, but discovered that said children had secretly cleaned out the Nutella jar. But I was really in the mood for chocolate and strawberries, so I decided to go another route.
I added chocolate chips and strawberries to a favorite muffin recipe, and Strawberry Chocolate Chip muffins were born. And then quickly devoured. It was a very short life span for those poor muffins.
I liked these even more than the Nutella version. The chips are dispersed through the whole muffin, so you get chocolate and strawberry in every bite. And they are so fluffy and delicious! You don’t have to drizzle chocolate on top, but it makes them so pretty. Plus- more chocolate. You can never go wrong with more chocolate.

I would like to make these to take to my book club. It would be better to have them mini muffin size. How long should they bake for? Thank you! These look delicious and Iam sure they will be a huge hit!
Kara Cook
I haven’t ever made them as mini muffins, so I’m not sure about the time. I would start checking them at 12 minutes.
