People. I’m literally two months behind in just about every area of my life. For reals. Now that spring is almost over, I’m finally doing some spring decorating. I’m awesome like that.
I decided it was high time to accessorize the beadboard bookcase shelf that I transformed back in February. And yes, I am just putting up my spring sign. My kids are done with school this Friday, which means it is the start of summer. In two days. See, I told you I’m behind.
I had lots of ideas for decorating this shelf, but in the end I just went with very simple decor, most of which I already had. The only thing I had to make (besides the spring sign) was the little fabric rosette ball.
I went with a very simple color scheme, just aqua and some greenery. I love how it pops against the white shelf.
I am kind of obsessed with little birds. At my house, they aren’t just reserved for spring decorating, I leave them out all year long. I have several different ones, and they migrate from shelf to shelf. I think they are just so darn cute!
So, how do you like my spring bookcase shelf?

I have a bunch of birds living at my house, too 🙂 I just love them and leave them out all year, and am happy when I can coordinate them with my various decor!
