A few years ago I made a Stocking Advent Calendar that I fill with fun Christmas activities that we do as a family. It is one of my kids’ favorite things every December. They love waking up and picking a tag out of the stockings to see what fun activity we will be doing for the day. One of their favorite activities is playing Don’t Eat Santa! because it involves the eating of candy, and they also love sleeping under the Christmas tree.
I used to hang the stockings on a little tree, but last year I decided it was time for an update. The change came about because a certain toddler wouldn’t leave the stockings on the tree. So I moved them up to my mantel where they are safe. We can’t fit all 24 at one time, so I just hang 12 at a time, then switch them out.
I finally broke down and made some permanent tags that I can re-use, rather than having to write the activities on slips of paper every single year. I am including the printable for the activities in case you would like to use them for your family. I left a few of the tags blank so you can add your own family traditions.
